About Us

Galles Marine is a family run business in its third generation. It all started in Ed Galles' Garage in 1939. Ed Galles' son Bob, who worked with his dad, wanted to race outboards, In order to get an Evinrude racing motor, they decided to become an Evinrude dealer. Bob raced locally for many years and the dealership grew selling Dunphy wood boats, Trail Car trailers and Evinrude motors.

When Ed retired, Bob and his wife Delma took over the business and added more boat lines, including SeaNymph fiberglass and aluminum boats. Bob and Delma saw many changes in the boating industry including the growth in recreational boating. Boats were no longer used only for fishing but also for water sports. Bob's youngest son, Mike, learned the business from the ground up, working on outboards after school and eventually earned a Master Technician certification from Evinrude.

After Bob and Delma's retirement, Mike continued the family business. With the dealership continuing to grow, Mike remodeled the original garage and expanded the showroom and service area. The indoor showroom now has room for boats along with isles of marine accessories and water toys.

Customer service is what sets Galles Marine apart from the competition. With three outboard technicians,, their customers are on the water instead of waiting for their boats to be serviced. Galles technicians are very knowledgeable and have over 62 years combined experience in the boating industry.

This year Galles Marine is celebrating 84 years in business and is proud to be a part of the Wisconsin Rapids community. They are dedicated to making you and your family's boating experience carefree by specializing in boats and pontoons that match your lifestyle.
